Sanitation Generalist 1st Shift Rockford

OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Sanitation Generalist to join our growing team.  
 

Hours: 1600am-2:30pm 8-Hour Shift

Shift: 1st   Monday - Friday

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Sanitation Generalist shall assist Sanitation Coordinator in the daily sanitation activities in the plant. Ensure the completion of routine and periodic cleaning sanitation activities. Assist operations with clean-ups, assist with issues that hinder timely completion of sanitation tasks, while maintaining Mondelez Sanitation programs. Maintain and complete accurate records for Periodic Infrastructure Cleaning and Periodic Equipment Cleaning. Provide support for maintaining Sanitation department equipment. Completing any technical and possible janitorial cleaning.

•    Maintain sanitation equipment as needed.
•    Complete regular and end-of-run clean-ups and periodic cleaning tasks.
•    Verify cleanliness of equipment before releasing to production.
•    Ability to perform overhead cleaning in multiple departments 
•    Ability to perform drain cleanings
•    Must be able to work and communicate as a team member.
•    Ability to recommend continuous improvement ideas.
•    Report all safety concerns and potential hazards. 
•    Support IL6S program 
•    Ability to complete any assigned sanitation cleaning projects that arise
•    Ability to complete any assigned janitorial cleaning
•    Perform any duties assigned by Management. 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

•    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
•    Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
•    Previous manufacturing experience is preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
•    Lift 50 pounds.
•    Able to stand, climb, stoop, kneel, bend, twisting and crouch occasionally.
•    Able to reach above shoulders
•    Able to become certified to operate a hand truck, fork truck, and vertilifts
•    Able to become trained in confined spaces
•    Able to work from heights
•    Understand Sanitary Design, chemical safety, and cleaning procedures
•    Able to work overtime when needed
•    Able to work weekends when needed
•    Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles
•    Able to work in hot and humid conditions
•    Have strong organizational, communicative, and interactive skills
•    Monitor plant cleaning supplies
•    Meet all required safety trainings 
•    Have the capability and initiative to perform duties without direct supervision
•    Have strong time management skills
