The Bureau of Field Operations is responsible for the survey and certification process of health care facilities across the State of Florida.

These surveys ensure that all state licensed, and federally certified health care facilities meet the established state and/or federal requirements and patients and residents receive safe, quality health care.

Field Operations staff also ensure the safety of residents in health care facilities when emergencies such as natural disasters occur.

 

The Work You Will Do:

This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining data base for analysis and management of State licensure & Federal certification of health care facilities and providers.

This includes tracking requests for initial surveys; annual surveys, follow-up visits and complaints investigations.

This position is required to create survey reports, develop letters, and ensure all required components of survey reports are completed. 

 

This position serves as primary for updating data in VERSA and retrieving OSCAR reports. 

Other duties include collecting data and preparing routine or special reports as required by the supervisor.

 

This position serves as the principal coordinator for ASPEN and assures changes are updated timely and reports system problems to the Central Office ASPEN coordinator. This position also does scanning and quality assurance work in Laserfiche. 

This position coordinates with supervisor to maintain current information of division policies and processes routine matters within established policies. Other requirements include establishing and utilizing a tracking system for monitoring the licensure status for facilities to create survey schedules as required meeting State and Federal rules and regulations. The position will also perform other related duties as required.

 

A good attendance record is essential for any individual in this position as the work involved occurs daily and is time-critical.  The individual in this position is expected to report to work daily and on time.  Leave must be requested in advance except in emergency circumstances not under the control of the employee.
