We are hiring a Sr. Sales Manager to join our Long Term Operations (LTO) Commercial team. This individual will drive the business development and sales efforts for NPP Initial or Subsequent License Renewal projects (ILR) or (SLR) or restart of retired NPP units requiring the full portfolio of LTO Business solutions. This position is responsible for managing the entire sales cycle from identification until contract signature of complex, long-duration nuclear plant operations, modernization, upgrade or restart , ensuring the highest operational efficiency, and full compliance with Safety Authorities guidelines. The ideal candidate will bring both technical and sales expertise to build strong client relationships and deliver value-added solutions to nuclear power plant operators, utilities, and government agencies.
This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere in the United States.
Your Day to Day:
- Lead Sales Initiatives: Develop and manage the sales strategy for ILR, SLR and NPP restart, and major modernization and upgrade projects for nuclear power plants from identification up to contract signature and transfer to Project Director. Engage with key stakeholders in the nuclear industry to identify new opportunities for plant upgrades, maintenance, and safety solutions.
- Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct market analysis to track industry trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and regulatory changes. Develop insights and strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the nuclear LTO market.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers at nuclear utilities, government agencies, and other industry stakeholders. Position Westinghouse as a trusted partner in supporting long-term operations and safe, efficient plant performance.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies targeting nuclear utilities. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the nuclear sector, with a focus on extending the operational life of existing plants, improving plant safety, and ensuring compliance with evolving nuclear regulations.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Regularly engage with senior management to report on sales activities, proposal status, and business development efforts. - Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations on contracts, agreements, and project terms. Work closely with legal, financial, and technical teams to ensure contracts are aligned with company policies and are in the best interest of both the company and the client.
- Maintain Knowledge of Products and Services: Stay current with technological advancements, engineering trends, and the competitive landscape to ensure the company remains a leader in delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions. Develop insights and strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the nuclear LTO market.
- Proposal Approvals: Lead approval process in coordination with the Proposal Manager including presenting the offer for approval and obtaining buy-in from WEC key stakeholders to ensure offering meets Westinghouse target objectives while meeting Customer needs.
- Industry Advocacy and Networking: Represent Westinghouse at industry events, conferences, and meetings. Build a strong network within the nuclear industry to drive business development and enhance the company’s reputation as an industry leader in nuclear technology solutions.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in sales, business development, or project management
