About the role

  • Advancing Anti-Racism and Equity: Work to help BPHC become an antiracist organization by meeting or exceeding the standards set by the BPHC Anti-Racism Promote racial justice, equity, and diversity across all aspects of program operations.
  • Lead high-level partnerships and community initiatives to expand Start Strong’s reach

across internal and external public health networks.

  • Build and maintain cross-sector collaborations to increase CAHD visibility and
  • Create marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including content ideation

and implementation schedules, to strengthen Start Strong’s digital and local reach;

  • Develop and execute scalable marketing and social media campaigns designed for measurable community impact.
  • Oversee the development of the Start Strong digital footprint, including website strategy and podcast promotion.
  • Oversee community engagement efforts and manage creative teams in the production of promotional content, such as trailers and social media shorts.
  • Prepare high-level briefing materials and reports on user engagement and campaign efficacy for the Director.
  • Support data collection and reporting for program grants to ensure compliance with established standards
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on social media implementation best practices;
  • Support the development/editing of our online digital footprint through website re-design (e.g. Wix/Wordpress) and management;
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen our digital reach
  • Design and promote innovative media literacy resources for providers and youth

 

  • Prepares reports on user engagement of website and social media platforms and briefing material for Director on regular basis, as well as recommendations for future action;
  • Integrate a positive youth development approach and trauma-informed framework in the design and creation of our materials.
  • Assist in development and implementation of youth education during annual six-week Summer Enrichment Programs.
  • Conduct workshops and presentations on content- related material at conferences and conventions locally and nationally.

  • Create promotional content which can include program trailers, social media shorts, and highlight reels
  • Meets regularly with the Director and Manager regarding all aspects of program operations, including but not limited to matters pertaining to program staff and other confidential matters;
  • May represent management in grievance and arbitration process, including but not limited to hearing and adjusting grievances, and attending grievance and arbitration hearings;
  • Works in a confidential capacity with the Director;
  • Operates independently and uses independent judgment and discretion to make decisions affecting the program and staff as it relates to program operations/services and BPHC policy;
  • Develops, implements, and manages projects and/or initiatives related to the program for the provision of services and/or to ensure effective operations and compliance with established standards and/or contracted goals and objectives;
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Health Communications, Web Development/UX Design, Graphic Design;, or Marketing OR Bachelor‘s plus 3 years of equivalent experience in health communication, web development and graphic design creation and implementation;
  • Knowledge and understanding of web design, social marketing, HTML, CSS, and Adobe products; some knowledge of Javascript a plus but not necessary;
  • Experience working in communications or marketing, social media management, graphic and web design strategy and implementation;
  • Skilled in incorporating a positive youth development and trauma informed framework lens into all aspects of the work, including creation, implementation, and systemization
