Together, we can create a legacy marked by innovation, excitement, and energy.</p><p>For our New Process and Product Development group in Research & Technology we are looking for a:</p><p>Sr. Process Development Engineer</p><p></p><p><u>The profile</u>: As a process development engineer and member of the R&T team, you are leading projects to scale up products and processes to commercial production in our Amsterdam and Bayport plants. Our products range from state-of-the-art catalysts for the petrochemical industry to engineered inorganic substances for various applications. Our processes range from unit operations to complete production plant lines.</p><p></p><p><u>Key focus and responsibilities:</u></p><ul><li>Pilot scale development of new catalysts for various applications (e.g.</li></ul><p>hydroprocessing and clean fuels production).</p><ul><li>Extending our process technology knowledge in particle technology, extrusion,</li></ul><p>impregnation, drying, transport phenomena and modeling.</p><ul><li>Leading plant trials for new products and/or new production processes.</li><li>Interface between R&D, analytical and plant technology departments to</li></ul><p>develop and transfer product and process know-how.</p><ul><li>Supporting the plant in troubleshooting manufacturing issues and process related</li></ul><p>excursions.</p><ul><li>Identify technological innovation that will improve the quality, efficiency, safety, sustainability and profit of our products and processes.</li></ul><p></p><p><u>Requirements: </u></p><ul><li>PhD/PDEng degree in Chemical Engineering or Master with minimum 3 years of working experience</li><li>Relevant work experience is a plus, preferably in the field of solids processing or</li><li>catalysis.</li><li>Affinity with R&D and process equipment, bringing theory into practice.</li><li>Skilled in working in a laboratory or pilot plant setting; hands-on mindset.</li><li>Strong knowledge of experimental design, data analysis, and process control.</li><li>Knowledge and experience in project management</li><li>Proactive, driven, and decisive; flexible and resilient; analytical,</li><li>solution-oriented and pragmatic</li><li>Excellent communication skills in English (Proficiency in Dutch is preferred)</li><li>Good interpersonal skills and eager to work in multidisciplinary teams.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><u>Information:</u></p><p>For more information relating to the content of this function please contact:</p><p>Bob Oogjen, Supervisor, New Process and Product Development R&T. </p><p>bob.oogjen@ketjen.com<br/> </p><p>You can apply for this position through the ‘career’ button in Workday.</p><p></p><p>Apply today and help Ketjen unleash the POTENTIAL of advanced chemistry for industries that power the world.</p>
