In Sourcing, you’ll apply your apparel and accessories and/or home goods expertise to promote and apply responsible sourcing practices while driving the success and growth of Target’s owned brands. The Sourcing team starts at the very earliest stages of product development, builds out the costing models and tracks where product stands at every step in the production cycle, from overseas shipping to our import warehouses, distribution centers and stores. And since Target is indeed a global company, you’ll be part of the team that manages global relationships in partnership with the buying team who shop for trends all over the world. Your ability to stay aware of our suppliers’ activities will help ensure compliance with responsible practices, and you’ll have influence over which manufacturers Target chooses to work with. You’ll be a close point-of-contact with Target team members in sourcing offices located in 20 countries around the globe, and you’ll support their work as liaisons among buyers, product developers and overseas partners. 

About the Role

The Sr. Manager, Commodity Management supports Owned Brands (OB) Food & Beverage Sourcing by leading commodity strategies that deliver cost optimization, supply assurance, and risk mitigation across key raw material categories. This role applies deep market insight, should-cost modeling, and supplier collaboration to enable competitive, safe, and reliable OB F&B products.

Partnering closely with OB F&B sourcing leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, the Sr. Manager assesses market conditions, manages supplier and material risk, and supports complex sourcing and negotiation strategies. Through strong analytical rigor and executive-ready communication, this role translates commodity performance, risks, and opportunities into clear recommendations that protect supply continuity and support Owned Brands growth.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the development and execution of commodity strategies supporting Owned Brands Food & Beverage, balancing cost, quality, service, and supply risk

· Identify and deliver raw material cost reduction and supply assurance initiatives aligned to Owned Brands product and sourcing priorities

· Analyze market dynamics, ingredient cost drivers, and supply risks (capacity constraints, volatility, geopolitical exposure) to inform OB F&B sourcing strategies

· Oversee should-cost modeling, benchmarking, and opportunity assessments for key ingredients and materials to support pricing transparency and negotiations

· Lead supplier and ingredient sourcing initiatives, ensuring contracts include appropriate commercial, quality, food safety, and risk protections
