What you'll do...

We are currently hiring for a full-time Area Manager, Level I- Optical Lab B-Shift working Monday through Thursday from 06:00pm - 04:00am for our Fayetteville, AR Optical Lab. Our manufacturing division focuses on delivering the Walmart Promise, “Live Better Save Money” in the realm of Optical eyewear manufacturing. What you’ll do   

  • This is the big leagues. You’ll support upwards of 50 associates and lead their development, having the opportunity to be a part of team success and individual wins. 

  • Seen as a pivotal leader within the Optical organization, you’ll take part in hiring, promoting, coaching, training, or evaluation of your associates, helping others to achieve their career goals. 

  • Whether it’s orders, inventory, or world class customer service, you’ll be delivering at a large scale and making a true impact. 

  • Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates and supervisors are trained company policies and procedures; distributing and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation; monitoring compliance with policies, procedures, standards and area production goals; and identifying and resolving internal/external Customer associate, and supervisor concerns.

  • Manage and develop associates and supervisors in area of responsibility by assigning duties and coordinating workloads; communicating goals, monitoring performance, and providing feedback; teaching and supporting company policies and procedures; and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, training, and evaluation of associates and supervisors.

  • Manage financial aspects in area of responsibility by monitoring and tracking expenses; monitoring asset utilization; and preparing, reviewing, and/or analyzing business reports.

  • Communicate with Customers, suppliers, and/or other Wal-Mart associates verbally or in writing.


What would support your success   

  • 6 months’ experience as a Walmart Optical Supervisor or 1 year experience as a Walmart Non-Optical Supervisor or 2 years’ external work experience in a man
