What your impact will look like:

• Assist with the filing of the company’s tax documents, including quarterly payments, extensions, and tax returns. 
• Provide support to tax manager for the company’s tax provision schedules. 
• Assist with tax accounts reconciliation and documentation. 
• Assist with interim and year-end general ledger sales tax, Income tax, and international tax accounts reconciliation. 
• Support tax integration activities of the acquired entities and analyze any additional tax information. 
• Streamline procedures and offer recommendations on how the tax filing process can run more efficiently. 
• Participating in the monthly tax closing process 
• Reviewing, preparation, filing, and payment of indirect tax returns (sales/use, business & occupation, gross receipts, property tax) for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings for the US & Canada. 
• Communication with Avalara (sales tax compliance provider) and resolving sales tax deficiencies with various jurisdictions and scheduling tax payments in US & Canada 
• Maintain filing calendar for the following tax types (sales/use, business & occupation, gross receipts, property tax) for all entities. 
• Resolves routine and non-routine tax issues.  
• Compile legal entity sales by state reports to monitor nexus requirements.  
• Handle requests for sales & use tax information including applicable taxability and rate determinations. 
• Assist with indirect tax audits by capturing, analyzing, and providing requested audit-supporting documentation as needed. Compile documentation for sales & use tax audits and correspond with state and local tax auditors as required. 
• Business Tax Registrations, Business Licenses Registration, Sales Tax Registration, in US & Canada 
• Support tax manager in responding to IRS, State, Local, and City Government Notices regarding delinquent taxes, balance due, tax levies, and offset, for the following tax type (sales/use, business & occupation, gross receipts, property tax, Corporate Income tax, State Income Tax & State Franchise tax for All Entities in US & Canada) 
• Gathering, preparing, and providing CSC (Registered Agent) with information to File State Annual Reports  
• Support requests for sales & use tax information including taxability and rate determination.
