Senior Civil Consultant

 

Location:  Anywhere in the USA (Remote)

 

Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual to become a valued member of our successful Civil Engineering Success Services team as a Senior Civil Consultant.  A Consultant plays an important role in delivering consulting, configuration and training services. A Consultant is responsible for analyzing our software users’ business and technical requirements and developing solutions that meet those needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Delivers advanced training, coaching, and configuration services.

  • Develops user learning content in both digital and video formats.

  • Deliver benefit oriented, feature specific demonstrations that promote Bentley solutions for site, road and rail design

  • Proficient in the integration of applications.

  • Present at Bentley Sponsored events such as User Conferences

  • Assist in preparation of technical proposals and benchmarks

  • Perform software product training activities, project assessments, reviews, and audits  

  • Serve as the primary liaison between company and software users.

  • Identify account requirements, define project scope and accurately estimate tasks of services projects

  • Collaborate with product development groups to continually improve the quality of the product based on user input

  • Create learning content in the form of written documentation, videos and webinars

  • Provides leadership by taking the lead technical role on projects and the mentoring of other consultants.

  • Efforts result in high customer satisfaction scores.  Seen by customers as trusted advisors and their team members seek advice and direction.

 

Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering degree or closely related degree required.  A degree with a rail or road design focus is preferred.

  • Minimum 5 year's industry experience.

  • Expert knowledge of the following Bentley software: OpenRail Designer, OpenRoads Designer.  Experience with other related industry civil engineering software such as Civil3D, MX, Trimble is beneficial.

  • Fluency in English is required.  Other language skills, such as Spanish or French, are beneficial but not required.

  • Extensive technical knowledge of site design, roadway design and railway design and workflows is required. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong presentation skills

  • Ability to learn new software applications and effectively demonstrate, configure and consult on the Bentley Civil Engineering software

  • Ability to work on significant professional services projects without supervision

  • Experience with and knowledge of transportation agencies’ planning, design, and construction workflows

  • Ability to travel domestically when required – minimum of 25%
