About the role

The Finance Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing financial accounting operations, internal and external reporting, and financial forecast and analysis functions. This role will lead a team to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, robust forecasting, and insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive operational efficiency across the organization. Essential Functions:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely completion of all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Oversee all aspects of cost accounting, including standard costing, activity-based costing, and variance analysis.
Identify key trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support business strategies and operational improvements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, build financial models, and analyze assumptions.
Provide clear and concise commentary on financial performance, variances, and trends.
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities to apply AI and automation technologies to streamline financial processes, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency within the finance department.
Assist in the preparation and review of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
Fulfill request of external quarterly review and annual audit.
Assist with special projects as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in MS office, especially excel (must be familiar with different kinds of functions for analysis).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required.

Qualifications/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
At least 8 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Computer industry work experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
Proven expertise in month-end closing, cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Effective written and verbal communication skill of Chinese/ Mandarin is a plus.

$150,000 - $170,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. It does not include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off, EAP, & 401(k).
