Your Career

As a member of the Prisma Cloud Technical Documentation team, you'll be an integral part of delivering a high quality experience for both internal stakeholders (technical writers and content creators) and external stakeholders (customers who consume our docs). 

As we transition to a docs-as-code model, you'll define, implement, and support the tools that writers use in their day-to-day work, as well as the systems that automate the delivery of our docs. The tool chain and uniform authoring and publishing workflows are the backbone of our content delivery experience, and we need you to develop, maintain, and continually improve this framework to support our customers. We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.

Your Impact

• Own our full portfolio doc tools, which spans cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and desktop-based IDE tools
• Take charge of the complete software development life cycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, deployment, testing, and support
• Write clean, testable, readable, and maintainable code that scales and performs well
• Foster a consistent, standardized approach to testing to ensure quality and catch regressions
• Build CI pipelines in GitLab and GitHub
• Build cross-platform front-end desktop tools and Visual Studio Code plug-ins
• Drive continuous improvements to address usability issues and new use cases

Qualifications

Your Experience

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Demonstrated experience building continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines
• Senior level experience with Python (our go-to for back-end software) and JavaScript (the defacto for web-based front-ends)
• Experience with test-driven development
• Experience developing cloud-native containerized apps, and configuring and deploying the cloud services on which they run
• Ability to grasp new technologies quickly and apply them to the software systems you  build
• Love getting things done!
