Job Description

The Senior Accountant will contribute to a world-class finance team in a rapid growth and emerging environment. To be effective, you will need operational accounting experience and an eagerness to support all aspects of accounting.   Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and customer service skills are essential.  This is a highly visible position requiring that confidentiality be maintained. 

This role is immensely important, and you will serve as an integral member of our finance team.  You will need to be an enthusiastic and hands-on individual who enjoys a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Your activities will include:

  • Perform day-to-day processing of accounts receivable transactions such as billings and credit memos.
  • Enter contracts in the Order Management system and work with the Alliance Management team for the inventory pick release process.
  • Process daily cash receipts including credit card, ACH, and wire payments as needed.
  • Generate and send out invoices.
  • Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments.
  • Carry out billing, collections, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
  • Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reconciliations and close processes.  
  • Assist with interim and annual audits and period-end management reporting. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements or automation.
  • Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

Qualifications

  In addition, you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, public accounting, and healthcare industry experience a plus.
  • Prefer a minimum of 4 years utilizing an ERP such as Oracle Fusion.
  • Must have proficient to advanced Excel experience such as XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and pivot tables.
  • Prefer experience with Power Query. 
  • You are a self-starter, work well as a team player, but can work independently when appropriate.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and a good understanding of accounting theory.
  • You have a strong knowledge and experience addressing a broad range of accounting matters, ensuring it is processed in compliance with established internal controls.  You possess the analytical skills needed to correctly grasp and communicate data and analyze and reconcile accounts; the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion; and handle multiple deadlines. 
  • You possess the ability to analyze problems and actively strategize to resolve them, pay attention to detail, and have excellent organization and communication skills.
  • You are results-oriented. You can juggle multiple tasks, and work cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, whether internally or externally.
  • You are flexible and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can prioritize focusing on the important, not just the urgent.
