Behavioral Health-Eating Disorders in PHP and IOP Settings Pro-Fee Coding (V)

Overview

Gebbs Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent to join our team as a part-time medical coder. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health coding, specifically related to Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for eating disorders.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Accurately code visit notes for services provided by:
  • Psychiatrists
  • Dieticians and Nutritionists
  • Social Workers
  • Individual and Group Therapy Sessions
• Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines specific to behavioral health and eating disorder coding.
• Review, post, and bill visits in a timely manner, with the majority of work completed between Thursday and Tuesday.
• Collaborate with team members and provide availability during standard business hours for initial training and onboarding.
• Hours: 10-20 hours per week.
  • Initial availability required during standard business hours for training.
  • Flexible scheduling after onboarding, with a preference for work completed between Thursday and Tuesday.
• Option to use a personal computer or a company-provided device.

Qualifications

• Certification: CPC credential (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of medical coding experience in behavioral health, with a focus on eating disorders in PHP and IOP settings.
• In-depth understanding of CMS guidelines and regulations related to behavioral health.
• Proficiency in coding for a variety of healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, dieticians, nutritionists, and social workers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workloads effectively within a part-time schedule.
