What you’ll need to succeed as Lead Engineer, Information Security at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, related work or military experience
• 4 years of experience in information security
• Proven technical expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewall platforms and a strong track record in planning and executing network micro segmentation initiatives across on-prem and cloud environments.

 Preferred qualification:

• Advanced Degree in Cybersecurity
• Advanced network engineering skills
• Experience using Information Security tools/domains such as (but not limited to); Endpoint Protection Software, Network Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Management, System hardening, etc.
• Specific experience using security tools from one or more of the following vendors: Crowdstrike, Proofpoint, Palo Alto, Tanium, Rapid 7, Zscaler, Encase and Devo

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Drive the design, implementation, and management of enterprise network security solutions
• Lead the configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of Palo Alto Networks firewalls (hardware and virtualized).
• Design and enforce security policies and rule sets using Panorama and firewall best practices.
• Monitor firewall performance, availability, and logs for threat analysis and troubleshooting.
• Conduct regular audits and updates of firewall configurations in accordance with compliance standards.
• Architect and implement network micro segmentation solutions to limit lateral movement and enforce least privilege access.
• Evaluate and deploy technologies supporting segmentation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to identify segmentation zones, data flows, and trust boundaries.
• Develop and maintain network segmentation diagrams and documentation.

 

Employees are paid within a salary range based on their experience, skill set, and market.

Colorado annual salary range: $118,190 to $147,737

New York annual salary range: $129,446 to $161,807

California annual salary range:  $129,446 to $161,807

Washington State annual salary range: $123,818 to $154.772

Maryland annual salary range: $123,818 to $154.772

Minnesota annual salary range: $112,562 to $140,702

Illinois annual salary range: $118,190 to $147,737

New Jersey annual salary range:  $129,446 to $161,807

Vermont annual salary range: $112,562 to $140,702

Massachusetts annual salary range:  $123,818 to $154.772

 

Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set (e.g., if an applicant far exceeds the minimum and preferred qualifications for the role).
