Known as the church of “God’s work. Our hands.,” the ELCA emphasizes the saving grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, unity among Christians and service in the world. The ELCA’s roots are in the writings of the German church reformer Martin Luther.

The Foundation is primarily responsible for working with individual donors to develop gift plans that support the current and future work of ELCA ministries; handling relationships with partner organizations; administering, managing, and processing endowment assets, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts and donor advised funds; and providing pooled investment services to the related entities of the ELCA.
