The Technical Program Manager, Security Product Documentation reports to the Director of Security Products and Services and serves as the central coordinator of security knowledge and information across Oracle’s global physical security organization. This leader oversees a team of CAD operators and technical writers, driving the structured creation, cataloging, and stewardship of all security documentation, from standard drawing sets (design, build, and as-built), and security design templates, to compliance and audit records, technical playbooks, and training materials.
This role is responsible for establishing, automating, and continuously improving documentation frameworks to ensure technical content remains current, accurate, and accessible. In addition to managing the document lifecycle, the manager creates and maintains operational runbooks, user training guides, and process documentation to support security technology rollouts and regulatory audits.
Through championing process efficiency, digital transformation, and automation of documentation workflows, the manager enables Oracle teams to access and leverage security knowledge, supporting operational excellence and compliance for GPS initiatives worldwide.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY, IMPACT OF DECISIONS, AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:
In this role, you will operate with wide latitude as the global documentation lead for Oracle’s physical security initiatives. Your decisions will shape the structure, accessibility, and quality of all official security documentation, directly supporting regulatory compliance, operational training, and global project delivery. High autonomy is expected in setting document standards, driving the use of automation, and overseeing audit documentation processes, with direct input into leadership strategy.
- Oversee lifecycle management of all security documentation and knowledge resources, driving standards, automation, and content integrity.
- Lead team responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing design sets, templates, training materials, and compliance/audit archives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and continuously improve documentation frameworks, including structured templates, version control, and automated workflows, for all security knowledge artifacts.
- Build and maintain self-service documentation portals, integrating content search, access controls, and update notifications to streamline knowledge sharing.
- Oversee the creation, cataloging, and archiving of standard drawing sets, as-builts, compliance records, and technical templates to ensure regulatory audit readiness.
- Develop and automate processes for scheduled content review, policy updates, and audit reporting, reducing manual work and ensuring up-to-date resources.
- Lead the production of user guides, training courseware, and operational runbooks that support global project rollouts and technology adoption.
- Collect feedback, usage analytics, and compliance data to improve content quality, discover gaps, and enhance accessibility for all stakeholders.
- Mentor technical writers and CAD operators, fostering a culture of quality, knowledge sharing, and innovation in documentation delivery.
- Serve as primary point of contact for audit, compliance, and legal teams regarding documentation evidence and certification support.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to capture expert knowledge and ensure accuracy for new deployments and technology changes.
KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Technical Communication, Engineering, Architecture, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience managing technical documentation or knowledge management teams, ideally in a global technology, security, or regulated enterprise environment.
- Proven track record building and automating lifecycle content management workflows using enterprise documentation solutions
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, including CAD operators and technical writers, in structured documentation delivery.
- Depth in business process mapping, process automation, and business process reengineering (BPR) with experience driving continuous improvement projects.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory, audit, and compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.) as they relate to documentation and recordkeeping.
