Position Overview

As a part of the accounting team, you will focus on day-to-day accounting activities and will participate in month end, quarter end and year end close. You will be also responsible for certain account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily cash deposits for all stores and e-commerce business.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger.
• Maintain Fixed Assets Schedules and book all JE related to depreciation.
• Book certain intercompany activities and JE related to intercompany transactions.
• Book T&E accrual JE’s for employee travel
• Assist in inventory accounting as per need
• Book accruals and pre-paid JE’s and maintain account reconciliations
• Assist with external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting information for auditors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the accounting tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 0 to 3 years of experience in accounting, no industry experience required
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, multi-tasker and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NJ office 

PAY RATE: $70,000/yr-$80,000/yr
