Overview
The Inclusive Excellence office seeks an energetic and passionate administrative assistant to support the Senior Associate Vice President & Dean of Students, Inclusive Excellence, Hispanic and Minority Serving Institution (HSI-MSI) Initiatives, and Title IX & Compliance. Responsibilities include managing departmental budgets, supervising student employees, and collaborating with the marketing department to produce multilingual resources for print and web communications.
Additionally, the Administrative Assistant will help meet goals and efforts of Inclusive excellence, HIS-MSI Initiatives, and Title IX Compliance by accessing University data and assisting with report writing for institutional purposes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for fostering an equitable and inclusive campus culture.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1. Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office management, office administration, business administration or business management, the major duties of which included one or more of the following functions: purchasing, personnel management, budgeting, accounting, records management, work simplification, grants management, contract administration or program management, (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
IA. An Associate's or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*
IB. An Associate’s or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a college or university environment is strongly preferred, particularly in roles requiring interaction with students, faculty, or staff.
- Ability to efficiently manage daily office operations and handle numerous and complex assignments simultaneously in an effective and efficient manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
- Knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft suite, including spreadsheets.
- Interest in building a community that values varied perspectives and experiences.
- Experience in exercising discretion and handling confidential information.
- Previous supervisory experience.
Working Location
This is an onsite position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
