About the role

UES seeks a motivated individual with a minimum of eight years of experience in the A/E/C industry to become an integral part of our marketing and communication department, MarComm. The MarComm team thrives on collaboration and teamwork. We are a close-knit group passionate about utilizing creativity and strategy to produce winning proposals and effective marketing content.
You will report directly to the Regional Marcom Director and work closely with them to lead the Marcomm team in the production of all proposal/qualification packages and other marketing communications and graphic content.
The Senior Marketing Manager will also supervise the Regional Marketing Managers in performing their duties. As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a significant role in executing the overall marketing strategy for the region, leading the MarComm team with the MarComm Director, creating content and materials, leading campaigns, and much more for our firm.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the MarComm team in support of all departments in the procurement of new contracts by responding to Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from both the public and private sectors.
  • Upholds the defined brand standards of UES and the MarComm department for all RFQ/RFP responses by directing the MarComm team in the production of compelling packages and leading the creation of key important packages for larger opportunities.  
  • Supports the MarComm Director on marketing strategy implementation to lead the region through efficient collaboration to increase our market share in the West Region.
  • With the Marketing Managers, reviews RFQ/RFPs for requirements, revisits the Go/No-Go decision with the RFP/RFQ leader, assigns the proposal/qualification to the appropriate MarComm team member, and ensures that the Proposal Production Plan and Go/No-Go process is complete.
  • With the MarComm Director, contribute to the design, innovation, and functionality of all InDesign templates and other brand templates.
  • Creates innovative content for PowerPoints, boards, signage, booklets, leave-behinds, and advertisements, ensuring brand standards and supporting the management and business development teams.
  • Keeps an open line of communication with the MarComm Director about the overall production of RFQs, RFPs, and other marketing content and deadlines.
  • Actively communicate between numerous regional offices to keep everyone aware of new initiatives and available marketing materials.
  • Utilize oral and written communication skills to coach and mentor, participate in attentive listening, and display great attention to detail in preparing, overseeing, and reviewing proposals and collateral while providing constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

  • A/E/C experience a MUST.
  • High Proficiency in InDesign and other Adobe Creative Cloud Software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint,
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field with at least five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the development of proposals and qualification packages, in the A/E/C industry.
  • Experience supervising or managing a small team is a plus
  • Flexibility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work with branch managers, department heads, and other personnel
  • Ability to work and problem-solve independently
  • Ability to collaborate with remote team members
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple tasks
