In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
We are seeking a Principal Test Engineer to join our team onsite in Omaha, Nebraska as a Product Manager. In this role you will lead design, development and integration of large scale software and infrastructure products, as well as guide and mentor the team members through our scope.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of 20-25 employees through the full software life-cycle (design through deployment) in a DevSecOps environment
- Communicate and present complex technical issues across various audiences including customers, executives, program management, and individual contributors
- Ensure root cause of all issues and anomalies are identified and documented, communicate impact to both schedule and functionality, and that resolutions are implemented and verified
- Work with the Solution Engineering Team and program customer to help define technical roadmap and features. Work with Product Owners and individual contributors to ensure high quality feature implementation in alignment with the technical roadmap timeline. Partner with Business Manager to control cost and schedule.
- Periodic travel between our Omaha, NE and our Aurora campus, Buckley SFB or Boulder as needed to support program execution
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s in STEM and 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience supporting design, development and system integration of a software-based system in a DevSecOps environment, including:
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite, including Jira and Confluence
- Experience providing technical leadership to integrated product teams
- Experience communicating execution status against technical requirements
- Experience leading an engineering team through the feature planning, design, development and integration/test of a software based system
- Experience working in a cross-disciplinary team environment, ensuring that program and product objectives are met
- Active and transferrable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Systems Engineering (SE) experience on a large government software development contract
- Experience with SE process development and deployment
- Experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master
- Experience with configuration management concepts and tools
- Prior experience with the FORGE framework either through direct application, prototype or IRAD support
