Join the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Center for Autism Rocky River team where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare. This newly configured 20,000-square-foot center houses several individual rooms for behavior, occupational, and speech and language therapies along with waiting and conference areas. Rocky River brings Pediatric Autism, Specialty and Primary Care services to the community under one roof. Cleveland Clinic Children’s Lerner School for Autism is a state-certified, chartered non-public day school dedicated to supporting autistic students from the earliest age of diagnosis through age 21. Our multidisciplinary team includes Licensed Special Educators, Behavior Analysts, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Classroom Behavior Therapists—all highly trained and experienced in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Our comprehensive curriculum extends beyond the classroom, offering parent training, student observations, and home visits to ensure families remain engaged and supported in their child’s development.
As a Behavior Technician, you will play a key role in implementing individualized support plans tailored to each student’s unique strengths, goals, and needs. This position provides an opportunity to foster students’ independence, build essential academic and life skills, and empower them to navigate the world with confidence and success.
A caregiver in this position works Monday through Friday, from 8:00am—4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Work under the clinical supervision of the Behavior Analyst to provide behavior-analytic services to multiple patients with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities in an outpatient setting.
Acquire baseline data and implement approved treatment plan using applied behavior analysis neutrally and consistently.
Implement discrete trial teaching procedures across a variety of patients and functioning levels.
Apply reinforcement procedures effectively, utilize SDs that are clear, concise and consistent.
Utilize prompt fading, shaping, and chaining procedures.
Assist Outpatient Behavior Analyst in conducting functional behavior assessments to include conducting a record review and Functional Assessment Interview, define behavior and choose appropriate method of data collection, summarize environment, setting events, and medical information.
