Department: Parts Department
Location: Solano County, California
Reports To: Parts Manager

Position Summary
The Wholesale Counter Person is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to wholesale automotive repair shops, independent garages, fleet accounts, and other commercial customers. This role involves processing parts orders, maintaining strong customer relationships, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of wholesale parts requests. The ideal candidate has strong automotive parts knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist wholesale customers in identifying and ordering automotive parts and accessories
  • Process incoming phone, email, and online wholesale parts orders accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing wholesale accounts and help develop new business opportunities
  • Verify pricing, availability, and delivery timelines for customers
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and drivers to ensure timely deliveries
  • Prepare invoices, quotes, credits, and returns in accordance with dealership policies
  • Resolve customer concerns, shortages, backorders, and warranty issues professionally
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and notify management of stock concerns
  • Promote dealership parts programs, specials, and manufacturer incentives
  • Follow all dealership safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Meet departmental productivity and customer satisfaction goals
  • Work collaboratively with service, sales, and warehouse personnel
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous automotive parts experience preferred
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and electronic parts catalogs
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership management software
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Dealership wholesale parts experience
  • Familiarity with CDK, Dealer Track, DealerOps, Etc
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Frequent use of phones, computers, and parts inventory systems
