About the role
<ul><li>Obtain overview on open transshipment requests and plan transshipment connection</li><li>Assign voyage to transshipment request and ensure correct terminal</li><li>Review the import and export volumes at the transshipment port assigning the preferred route, and faster and cost-effective connection available</li><li>Handle consequences of Port Call Change impacting transshipment</li><li>(Re-)arrange terminal haulage or off-dock storage during transshipment</li><li>Ensure the accuracy of the feeder schedule created by GSC Scheduling</li><li>Maintain, review DG rules and ensure DG acceptance for transshipment</li><li>Split of transhipment request to the new shipment and request updated documentation via Customer Service (CS)</li><li>Align transshipment capacities with volume</li><li>Monitor transshipment connection and rollover of transshipment units in case of misconnection</li><li>Update cargo in the system when Transshipment Manager instructs regarding port omission and subsequent action plan</li><li>Maintain and handle documentation requirements for correct transshipment handling at hub locations</li><li>Create feeder Work Orders (WO) and submit WOs to the vendors</li><li>Create Transport exceptions (TREX) for transshipment use cases</li><li>Inform the origin and destination offices about transshipment cargo inspection as well as the additional charges incurred in transshipment ports to ensure additional expenses are recovered from the shipper or customer account</li></ul>
<ul><li>University degree or similar qualification in logistics with first relevant work experience</li><li>Work experiences in Inland Transport Dispatch is a plus</li><li>Very good command of English (both verbal and written)</li><li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills </li><li>Knowledgeable in MS Office applications </li><li>With a highly analytical mindset, and the ability to work systematically under pressure </li><li>Previous knowledge/experience of Hapag-Lloyd systems is preferred, but not mandatory</li></ul>
