Description

Summary Job Goal: Under the leadership of the VPSO Manager, will assist coordinating administrative services for the VPSO program to help align to AVCP’s safety implementation plan and to function at its highest capacity. Will work closely with the VPSO Manager, the VPSO Program Support Specialist 1, the VPSO’s, and overseeing division director. Reports directly to the VPSO Manager.

Performance Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  •  Designs, drafts, and assists with VPSO Annual Regional Training Program
  •  Designs, drafts, and assists with VPSO Monthly All-Hands Meetings
  •  Assists in organization and execution of VPSO Cooperative Agreements
  •  Assists in onboarding new recruits
  •  Process purchase requests in AVCP’s financial management software system
  •  Process travel requests for the VPSO program staff with AVCP’s travel management software.
  • Process travel requests and expense reporting for the VPSOs
  • Arrange travel & facilitate expense reporting upon needs and direction of his/her supervisor.
  •  Upkeep of VPSO Inventory Logs, records & retention schedule
  •  Oversight in time sheet management for VPSO’s through AVCP time sheet management system.
  •  Maintains confidentiality of the program
  •  Delegate duties to VPSO Program Support Specialist 1 as needed

Must be able to work independently and have good communication and organizational skills.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or GED is required. At least two (4) years of clerical experience with Tribal government functions preferred. Basic knowledge of computers to include work processors and other programs pertinent to office functions. Familiarity with excel, word, power point, and basic functions of computer applications. Familiarity with the Yup’ik culture, language, and lifestyle is preferred.
