About the role

As a member of the Fleet, the VP Product Owner will be a member of one or more functionally aligned AGILE squads (based on current opportunities) to assist in delivering regulatory and strategic change to the Tax Operations organization. This Product Owner may also oversee and manager other Product Owners, Proxy Product Owners, and/or Business Analysts. Typical responsibilities listed below:

This is a VP Team Manager position at the P4 level within Change, Analytics & Strategy, which is responsible for developing operating and technology strategies, managing and executing transformation initiatives, leading Agile fleet activities, driving innovation, developing analytics solutions and delivering business outcomes

> Work within one or more global Tax AGILE squads - attending daily scrums and ceremonies (squads are generally comprised with CTB and Tech members across various global locations (Utah, New York, India))
> Manager other Product Owners, Proxy Product Owners, and Business Analysts and be responsible for the delivery of the broader program.
> Develop knowledge and expertise in the related Tax regulations, operational functions, and systems
> Gain an understanding of the various Morgan Stanley businesses and client bases (e.g., institutional, Wealth Management, Retirements, Stock Plan, etc.)
> Provide thought leadership and recommendations to management based on best practices and experience working in a global and diverse environment.
> Collaboration across technology organization, providing sound business analysis, process and change leadership within a maturing, Agile PDLC framework.
> Partner with the RTB teams and senior stakeholders to understand and identify change opportunities
> Understand the strategic Change agenda and assist in completing budgeted deliverables
> Deliver true value and positive business outcomes to the Tax organization and its clients
> Assist in creating user stories in JIRA, prioritizing the squad's work, and sprint planning
> Generate senior management reporting and status updates and participate in stakeholder meetings
> Responsible for maintaining and growing a body of knowledge that is accessible to all team members.
> Reports to the squad Product Owner or Product Lead > Strong analytical skillset with the ability and desire to learn complex technical regulations, processes, and solutions
> Experience in working on Technology projects related to Financial Services domain, and US Tax and Cost Basis

> People Management Experience (10+ years)
> 10+ years of experience in program/ project management, process engineering or strategy
> Experience with Tax regulations and operational processes a plus.
> Experience in a financial services environment is a plus.
> Expertise in working with full project lifecycle using Agile project methodology, including but not limited to: product vision, producing project work plan/roadmaps/resource capacity planning, project scope alignment
> Excellent communication and collaboration skill
