Overview:
A family of home health care agencies is seeking a reliable and organized Receptionist/Admin Clerk to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. This role will involve providing front-line customer service, assisting with administrative tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of the office. The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail-oriented, and have strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answering Phone Calls: Receive and manage inbound calls, provide information to callers, and route calls to the appropriate team member or department.
• Assisting Walk-Ins: Greet and assist walk-in visitors, ensuring they are directed to the correct person or department in a timely and professional manner.
• Call Transfers: Accurately transfer calls to the appropriate party or department, ensuring clear communication and minimal wait times for callers.
• Administrative Tasks: Perform general office duties such as data entry, managing paperwork/mail, and maintaining filing systems.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service to clients, patients, and family members, answering inquiries and ensuring their needs are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Microsoft Office Suite: Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily tasks, including data entry, document preparation, and email correspondence.
• Additional Tasks: Assist with other tasks and projects as requested by management to ensure smooth office operations.
Qualifications:
• Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably within the healthcare or home health care industry.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in using computers and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
• Multitasking: Ability to prioritize tasks and handle a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Organization: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and files.
• Multilingual (Preferred): Ability to speak additional languages is a plus, as it helps in serving a diverse client base.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, standard office hours (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
