IT Jr. Business Analyst

Mazak is looking for a Junior IT Business Analyst to join the IT department at our North American Headquarters in Florence, KY. The Junior IT Business Analyst helps analyze and improve business processes, aiming to find better ways to use technology for reporting. This position works directly with stakeholders to learn about their needs, research possible solutions, and create strategies to make IT systems and processes more effective, especially by using Power BI for data analysis and reporting.

Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
• Assist team members in understanding organizational and operational challenges.
• Stay updated on the latest applications of information technology, with a focus on Power BI.
• Draft business reports and create data visualizations using Power BI to assist decision-makers in all areas of the business.
• Help manage technical difficulties, working with developers when necessary.
• Provide application functionality, configuration, and support expertise for application software solutions.
• Assist in the analysis and evaluation of current & Legacy data and provide recommendations to improve business processes and secure data integrity.

Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience or internships as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with The Software Development lifecycle (SDLC) is helpful
Skills:
• Basic understanding of business needs and technology.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate IT systems and processes.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in drafting reports and creating data visualizations using Power BI.
• Knowledge of application functionality, configuration, and support, with a focus on SSMS, MS Power BI, and Fabric would be preferred.
