About the role
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing Equipment Failure Data: Reliability engineers examine historical data to identify patterns and potential issues.
- Conducting Root Cause Analysis: They delve into the underlying causes of failures to prevent recurrence.
- Developing and Implementing Solutions: By creating new procedures and processes, they enhance overall system uptime and availability.
- Collaborating with Maintenance Engineers: Reliability engineers work alongside maintenance engineers to address problems and optimize reliability.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Having a good command of spreadsheet and logistics programs is essential.
- Advanced statistical analysis skills are beneficial.
- Work Experience:
- Must have eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more areas related to the Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) Body of Knowledge.
- Of these eight years, a minimum of three years should be in a decision-making position. Decision-making authority involves defining, executing, or controlling projects/processes and being responsible for their outcomes.
