About the role

Job Summary
Manages Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs)/Shippers within the Intermodal business with an account portfolio of over approximately $400 million.


Primary Activities and Responsibilities

  • Design, market, educate and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to several Beneficial Cargo Owner (BCO) Shipper customers across the U.S..
  • Create and execute strategic growth account plans for customers by analyzing freight files, identifying intermodal opportunities and managing opportunity to close. 
  • Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT, customer organizations and carrier partners while pushing each for improved performance, creative solutions and increased business levels.
  • Negotiate and close large, complex commercial proposals in conjunction with all relevant CSX groups including Marketing, Service Design, Operations, Customer Service, Industrial Development, etc.
  • Build new relationships with BCO shippers
  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • 5 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree
  • 3 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance
