OnsiteThis position is for an established Quality Assurance professional. Influences process and planning decisions with knowledge and explanations of Quality Assurance policies, practices, and procedures. Uses expertise to provide input on the development, modification, application, and maintenance of quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.
This is an onsite role that sits at our Phoenix, AZ location.
May be eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Reviews and makes recommendations for Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets.
Executes Quality Assurance project plans and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
Provides production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvements.
Conducts collection and analysis of quality information for the development of quality strategy and programs.
Reviews and analyzes quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.
Ensures that projects and/or process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
Identifies and manages risk in product development.
Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes as well as collaborating with Supplier Quality for externally produced items. Works with product and process engineering to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.
Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering.
Responsible for development of new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.
Interfaces with other functional groups as required.
Supports auditing activity as required.
Interfaces with other functional groups and customers as required
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior quality experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
AS9100 experience preferred.
RCCA experience preferred.
Previous experience with continuous improvement/lean manufacturing is preferred.
