Backend Software Developer

Truphone creates better connections between people, businesses and things. Since 2006, we have built state-of-the-art SIM software, intuitive management platforms, in-network call recording, and a powerful global mobile network.

We are looking for a talented Backend Software Developer (the level of seniority is flexible and will be assessed throughout the recruitment process) to join our Technology Department.

This role and the team will be located in Lisbon (hybrid flexible work model). You will be part of a dynamic full-stack development team driving the core delivery and full life-cycle of our product lines. We are looking for someone who is humble, hungry and smart; with a strong track record in an integrative role between product and technology teams at product-led growth companies.

What you will do:

• Build high impact features and contribute to the architecture design; aim towards resiliency, scalability, security and fault tolerance;

• Advocate for high code quality, readability and high tests coverage;

• Promote best practices for a high-scale web (or mobile) environment;

• Work with an Agile methodology;

• Identify areas of improvement in the codebase and promote them through seamless integrations, documenting solutions and new flows;

• Mentor junior members when needed and contribute with meaningful reviews.

What you will bring:

• Experience in backend software development (Java, Golang or .NET);

• Aspiration to become a full-stack developer;

• Experience with unit/integration/e2e testing (test driven development is a plus);

• Proficiency with REST APIs, both in implementing and consuming the interfaces;

• Familiar with relational databases, CI/CD flows, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes;

• Familiar with development tools and processes (Git-flow, peer reviewing);

• Good understanding of cloud services and scalable infrastructure;

• Good level of English, strong communication skills, self-motivated and autonomous profile.
