Duties: Analyze, structure and execute transactions on behalf of corporate clients with a focus on Financial institutions, including Banks, Specialty Finance (consumer and commercial), FinTech, and Insurance companies. Help prepare and contribute to deal pitches including idea generation and identify, research, and analyze M&A and financing opportunities. Integrate strategic ideas derived from various analyses, forecasts, business plans, and research into presentations for various stakeholders. Analyze and manage the analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, and publicly traded company financials in order to identify potential client solutions and new market opportunities. Employ valuation techniques including discounted cash flow analysis (dividends and embedded value), comparable company analysis and precedent transaction analysis based on understanding GAAP and regulatory statements, company disclosures and industry specific research. Model out the proforma impact of potential and live transactions including equity and debt financing, and M&A. Manage deal execution, including preparation of marketing materials, teasers, confidential information memorandums; conducting due diligence processes; drafting non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents with lawyers and potential buyers. Perform due diligence on Financial Institution companies, including generating and managing financial and operational diligence requests, discussing diligence requests with management and employees, and performing detailed analyses on private financial information. Present to clients, including top executives, on topics such as strategic alternatives, industry updates, capital markets activities, and corporate governance issues. Build and develop relationships with clients through ongoing engagement and demonstration of financial and industry knowledge. Guide and coordinate project workstreams and junior professionals' work product, including reviewing financial modeling work and presentations prepared for transactions, corporate board meetings, investment banking pitches and client service projects. Employ databases including Bloomberg, Thomson Eikon, SNL and FactSet to perform comparable company and precedent transactions analyses. Mentor and guide junior analysts across several projects at one time.

Requirements:  Requires a Bachelor's in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics), or related field plus two (2) years of experience as an Investment Banking Associate, or a related investment banking occupation with a specific focus in the financial institutions sector.

Experience may be gained concurrently and must include at least two (2) years in the following:

• Employing valuation techniques including discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis on corporate targets.
• Developing written client presentations related to potential M&A transactions or financing.
• Modeling the impact of potential transactions including financing and M&A and experience with accretion dilution analyses, has/gets analyses, intrinsic value analyses and capital structure requirements.
• Presenting financial transaction-related analyses to both internal partners and client executives during general business development activities and live transactions.
• Researching and analyzing corporate financial performance, capital structure, credit strength, and liquidity conditions by using databases including S&P Global, FactSet, Bloomberg and Thomson Eikon.
• Performing and managing due diligence on companies, including generating and managing financial and operational diligence requests, discussing diligence questions with management and employees, and performing detailed analysis on private financial information.
