JOB TITLE:
Credentialing Specialist
JOB PURPOSE:
Compile, organize, maintain, and verify that all staff has appropriate accreditation at the EHCW clinics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
- Identify discrepancies in information and conduct follow-ups.
- Prepare reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines for credentialing.
- Screen practitioner’s application and support documentation to determine eligibility.
- Maintain and verify files and track the expiration of certifications throughout the organization.
- Respond to health plan provider inquiries.
- Capture primary source documentation in the database.
- Provide support with program reviews or audits for compliance.
- Coordinate and engage colleagues to pull together information for complete and accurate credentialing.
- Identify support agencies and build a relationship with agencies to streamline the credentialing process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree
Experience: 2 years work-related experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Skilled in managing deadlines and effectively communicating timelines
- Excellent communication skills across various platforms (e.g., email, phone, video conferencing, in-person)
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
