Where the chemistry happens…

BASF's Professional Development Programs (PDPs) were created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded current university students an opportunity to enhance their professional and leadership skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences. Participants will contribute to real-world rotational assignments within different domestic locations. They will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills, while fulfilling specific business needs. Participants will have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills, and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture, values, and decision-makers.

 

APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS RECEIVING A MASTER’S or PhD DEGREE with an emphasis in agronomy/crop science, horticulture, weed science, plant pathology, entomology or a related field BETWEEN August 2023 and May 2024.  Start date is flexible dependent on selected candidates availability.  Recent graduates are encouraged to apply up to a year after graduation. 

As a Specialist Biological Research, You Create Chemistry By...

•    Leverage your education and experience to engage with a multidisciplined team to evaluate new technologies ranging from early stage product candidates to improvements to our existing portfolio. 
•    Executing field research programs across a range of disciplines, including establishment, application, data collection and results analysis and communication.
•    Engaging across the business to understand customer needs and how our innovations can help to address them.
•    Developing and communicateing research objectives, plans/protocols and methodologies to achieve outcomes supporting phase gate decisions.

If you...

• Upcoming graduates receiving a Master’s or PhD degree in agronomy / crop science, horticulture, weed science, pathology, entomology or a related field BETWEEN August 2023 and May 2024.
• Demonstrate academic achievement 
• Have commitment to relocate anywhere in the U.S. Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without restrictions or future sponsorship 
• Have active participation in extra-curricular activities and on-campus organizations Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus
