Auto-Casing Setup Operator  

 

Immediate opportunities are available for talented Auto-Casing Setup Operator who want to become part of the Johnson Controls team. The Auto-Casing Setup Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating automated casing machinery used in the production process. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards while ensuring efficient machine operation. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Schedule 

6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

What You’ll Do:      

  • Read, communicate and understand Operational Method Sheets (OMS) job instructions, handles material to and from workstation and gets workstation and equipment ready for production.  

  • Troubleshoots to identify problems, communicates problems to Maintenance and Tool and Die people and assists with repairs.   

  • Operate and monitor the casing machine during production to ensure consistent and high-quality output. Monitor scrap and ensure it is being properly injected from casing line.  

  • Record any product or machine deviations and take corrective action as necessary to maintain production standards.  

  • Operates small presses and/or some assembler work with air tools.  

  • Work closely with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations.  

    
What We Look For:    

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training is a plus).  

  • Previous experience in machine operation or setup, preferably in automated casing or a similar manufacturing environment.  

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and production specifications.  

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.  

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.  

  • Basic understanding of safety procedures and machinery maintenance.  

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.  

  

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to lift and move heavy steel materials (up to 50 lbs or more).  

  • Ability to stand, bend, stair climb, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods (8+ hours).
