Major Responsibilities:

Organizes and hosts outreach activities to promote organization's services.
Data Collection and Analysis:
They may collect data on referral patterns, outmigration, and other relevant metrics to identify areas for improvement and measure the effectiveness of their efforts.
Collaboration:
Works closely with internal teams, such as business development, and clinical staff, to ensure a coordinated approach to physician outreach.
Coordinates and implements community health and outreach activities that support the process of identifying community health needs, selecting priorities, and implementing evidenced-based programs to address these needs at one or more hospitals/areas. Organizes and supports community outreach and cancer control activities with community cancer education and screening programs. Acts as a representative for the hospitals/areas in a variety of coalitions and partnerships, while developing and maintaining relationships in the community. Responsible for building and fostering cooperative and mutually beneficial community and physician relationships that demonstrate alignment with community needs and hospital service lines goals to ensure optimal and timely results that enhance physician, associate, patient, family, and community relationships.

Community engagement and outreach:
Coordinates evidence-based community health and outreach programs that support needs identified at designated hospitals/areas.
Design, implement, and manage community outreach programs focused on cancer prevention, early detection, and survivorship support.
Organizes educational events, symposiums, health fairs, and screenings in collaboration with community partners to enhance outreach, education, and access to care.
Develop and implement cancer awareness and prevention programs.
Identify and address health disparities in underserved populations.

Physician Relations:
Focus on expanding and enhancing cancer care services through strategic planning, physician partnerships and innovation for the purposes of cancer program growth, referral development, and increasing access for providers.
Identify gaps in cancer care services and access community needs to determine opportunities for growth.
Develop plans/opportunities to introduce new services, treatment options, programs, cancer sites of care.
Partners with medical leadership, Business Development, and operations to identify opportunities for growth and coordinates between internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate projects and priorities in collaboration with Community Health to avoid redundancy while improving the accessibility of services for community members.  
Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers to enhance patient referrals.
Organize networking events, continuing medical education (CME) opportunities, and feedback sessions for physicians.

Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement:
Manages effective  community relationships at designated care delivery sites.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders/representatives, faith groups, community-based organizations, healthcare providers, and business partners.
Serve as a liaison between the organization and external partners to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Represent designated care delivery sites with a focus on coalitions addressing community health needs.
Makes recommendations related to strategic partnerships opportunities and engages external audiences to address community health needs.

Program Development and Collaboration:
Assess community and physician needs to shape programs that align with organizational priorities and strategic goals.
Partner with internal teams to ensure outreach program success. 
Identify community needs and develop targeted initiatives to address gaps in cancer care.
Participates in meetings that promote system alignment with community health, Business Development, and outreach strategies.
