Junior Business Analyst

Position Description

We’re looking for an analyst to join our team with a culture rooted in kindness, empathy, and product-mindedness on a contracting basis. This analyst will be focused on helping our centralized analytics team support reporting, insight requests, and dashboarding across the entire Eleanor business, including clinical quality, clinical operations, finance, marketing, and partnerships. This role reports directly to the Manager, Data & Analytics and works closely with our entire Executive Leadership Team.

Some of the exciting projects this role will get to work on will be soup-to-nuts Tableau dashboard design, helping our customer stakeholders better understand the answers to their questions with data storytelling, and data architecture requirements design to help expand our mature analytics layer.

We use a variety of exciting technologies at Eleanor Health including Tableau, dbt Cloud, Salesforce, and AthenaHealth.

Responsibilities

• Soup-to-nuts dashboard development including working with stakeholders to itemize and define necessary metrics, wireframing the visualization to collect feedback, submitting technical requirements to the engineering team to develop new data sources, creating data models to build dashboards on, and finally building the dashboard itself in Tableau.
• Building collaborative partnerships with stakeholders to understand their underlying business needs and serve as their trusted advisor on our data
• An eye for visualization design that doesn’t “dumb down” the data but instead makes everyone who views the dashboard smarter.

Responding to tickets in Jira Service desk and using custom SQL queries to create requested reports.

• Work with our analytics engineers to develop requirements for new data builds to add to our high-quality data pipeline and mature Analytics Layer designed to help our team work smarter, not harder

You’ll Be a Good Fit If You…

• Have prior analytics or technology internships, extracurricular projects, or have completed a University-level data analytics program
• An undergraduate degree in business, economics, mathematics, computer science, or similar programs
• Great communication skills – able to explain technical concepts elegantly to non-technical audiences
• Fantastic problem solving skills and ability to find patterns, relationships, and trends that most people don’t catch at first glance
• Familiar with SQL and dimensional modeling
• Familiar with Tableau and dashboard design
• Ability to take an ask from a stakeholder and help them discern the underlying need
• Are excited to work with a fully remote team.

Nice to Have…

• Have previous experience in healthcare
• Previous experience with UX, graphic/web design, or just an eye for design in general
• Familiar with Python and github

Compensation & Benefits:

The total target compensation range for this position is $60,000-75,000. The actual compensation offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
