Tracks the execution of project schedule including milestones and optimization of schedules. Performs trouble shooting by understanding the processes or incidents to analyze and resolve operational problems with given procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors project execution and improvements of logistics movements

  • Organizes and analyzes the re-planning of logistic changes

  • Checks basic information to ensure appropriate processing

  • Maintains documentation of relevant data in schedules, reports and communications

  • Coordinates updates of schedules with the shareholders and management

 

Primary Role

  • Inbound Freight Management

    • Maintain daily tracking of high-risk shipments and publish their progress using current tools and resources

    • Troubleshoot inbound delivery issues

    • Address any escalations or inquiries from the customer service organizations, warehouses, logistic management, or demand planning

  • SAP Tier II Support for Transportation

  • Support Emergency Weather shipping operations

  • Develop a scope, requirements, and deliverable documents to transition from the current processes to the implementation of a Transportation Management System (TMS)

  • Provide routine and periodic transportation financial and analytical reports

 

Education, Experience and Knowledge/Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or at least 3-5 years' of Logistics experience

  • Has effective time management, strong organizational skills

  • High level of analytical skills to solve complex issues

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies

 

Recommended Background

  • Directly involved with Supply Chain and/or Logistics activities

  • Proficiency in using, implementing, or developing SAP ERP functionality

  • Has used and become proficient in project management software

  • Ability to perform data analysis which leads to a conclusion

  • Process optimization knowledge with emphasis on Quality policies

The base pay range for this position is:

$66,390 - $91,289

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
