Job Description
High quality animations play a critical role in all HoYoverse games .We are searching for a candidate who is passionate about applying cutting-edge technologies into game animation production. As a computer graphics researcher, you will be working with our talented artists and other engineering team members, creating innovative tools and pipelines to unleash artists’ creativity, empower them to make stunning animations that used in the company’s major game titles.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct research in e.g. human body modeling/geometry processing/motion generation
- Understand in-house mocap/general animation process to establish requirements from animators
- Design, implement and maintain animation systems and tools with the other engineering team members
- In-depth research with state of the art technologies and apply in a pragmatic way
- Write clear, maintainable, and efficient code
- Build good document for both engineers and artists
What We Are Looking for:
- Solid understanding/experience in computer graphics
- Good understanding in geometry processing, deformation, computer animation
- Have interest in computer animation related technologies such as mocap, motion editing, motion synthesis, etc
- Have good understanding in recent animation related research in academia or industry
- Willing to do early algorithm exploration on challenging technical topics
- Willing to work in a multidisciplinary team, especially collaborate closely with animators
- Excellent programming ability and strong bias for implementation and deployment
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability
- Big plus if have mocap/animation experience
