About The Role

As a Senior React Native Engineer, you will play a key role in developing Genie, our AI powered personal assistant for iOS and Android. You should be comfortable and experienced with architecting complex systems and crafting delightful user experiences with great attention to detail. You will be involved in every aspect of the software development process, from conception to deployment, and have the opportunity to make a significant impact on Gather's strategic direction. You'll work closely across teams including with AI/ML, Data Science and Product to build high-quality, scalable end-to-end systems that power our entire product.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the development of mission-critical aspects of our product

• Craft world-class user experiences with React Native, TypeScript, GraphQL and related technologies

• Contribute to the technical roadmap, and help make key decisions that drive the architecture, scalability, and reliability of our systems

• Collaborate closely with product team to understand user needs and translate them into software solutions

• Mentor junior software engineers, promoting best practices and enhancing the overall quality of our software

• Participate in design and code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience

• At least 6 years of software development experience, with a significant focus on React Native development

• Proficient in modern TypeScript and/or JavaScript as well as, ideally, some native iOS/Android experience

• Deep understanding of modern development technologies and principles, such as responsive design, RESTful API's, and cloud-native architecture

• Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to debug complex software systems

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Passion for building user-centric software, and a strong focus on product quality and performance
