Cleveland Clinic’s Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we’re looking to add an Environmental Services Team Lead to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect. The Environmental Services Team Lead will serve as team leader of an assigned function while also performing the duties of an Environmental Service Worker. A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 1:00PM – 9:00PM or 12:00PM – 8:30PM, including every other weekend and rotating holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Conduct general training for new employees in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning and special procedures.
Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation.
Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year experience in Environmental Services
Strong customer service skills
Experience in leadership or providing work direction
