Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics - DOT and 3P Logistics

Position Summary...

About the Team…
Walmart’s Transportation Compliance team under Environmental Compliance and Ethics, ensures products are transported safely and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations aligned with sustainability goals.

About the Position…
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, detailed DOT and 3P Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME). In this role, you will build and scale compliance programs and frameworks addressing compliance questions, monitoring laws and regulations, conducting legal research, and establishing standards and controls. You will also work closely with leadership to communicate relevant information to associates, identifying compliance gaps, and developing related strategies to close gaps.

What you'll do...

• Data analysis and reporting presenting findings to senior leadership.
• Develop, execute, and maintain legislation assessment strategy enterprise wide.
• Review proposed legislation, determining business implications and developing plans to adapt accordingly.
• Manage research on high-impact DOT and 3P logistics regulatory issues, identifying stakeholders likely to be affected by proposed policies, and evaluating global regulatory trends.
• Lead impact assessments and provide recommendations to leadership based on related research and predictive trends.
• Develop recommendations on corporate positions on various overarching DOT issues identifying customer and operational needs, communicating business plans and priorities, removing barriers that impact performance, and providing necessary resources.
• Upholding Walmart's policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity ensuring compliance through an Open Door Policy.

What you’ll bring…

• Strong research, analysis, and communication skills
• Deep understanding of DOT and 3P logistics regulations.
• Strong management skills capable of directing compliance efforts and managing the development of policies and standard operating procedures.
