Locations: Multiple programs across the Greater Danbury area

As a Direct Care Professional, you will support adults with intellectual, developmental, physical, and behavioral health needs in both residential and community settings. What You Will Do
- Provide hands on support with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and medication reminders as needed
- Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as budgeting, communication, and meal planning
- Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, and community outings
- Encourage participation in social, recreational, and volunteer activities such as fitness, crafts, Special Olympics, and community events
- Implement behavioral support strategies and use de escalation techniques when needed
- Collaborate with nurses, behaviorists, nutritionists, and other clinical team members to provide well rounded care
- Assist with goal planning, progress tracking, and skill development
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and daily activities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to learn with no prior experience required. Paid training is provided
