Solution Architect

Lead, design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions that meet the strategic and operational needs of an organization. Engage with clients & stakeholders, working in cross-functional teams, to understand business drivers, assess application portfolios, and design reliable, scalable, efficient, and cost-effective strategies & solutions leveraging cloud services and industry best practices.
***Fully remote position from unanticipated locations within the U.S.
*** Limited travel to client locations. On average, 1 day every 2 months (less than 5%).

Specific duties include:

• Provide expert-level collateral, including architectural drawings, design specifications, implementation guides, documentation, and operational procedures (15%);
• Lead technical teams in the development and deployment of cloud solutions, providing expert guidance, and resolving complex technical challenges. Lead engagement teams, delegate responsibilities, and mentor fellow consultants. Lead and coordinate implementation & migration projects, ensuring they stay on track and within scope. Implement cost-effective strategies to maximize return-on-investment for our clients (55%);
• Ensure cloud solutions meet security and compliance standards, including data protection, encryption, access control, and regulatory requirements (15%);
• Keep current of emerging technologies and industry trends, identify innovative solutions, and recognize opportunities for efficiency. Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the cloud solution architect community. Maintain exposure to market trends and business productivity improvement opportunities (5%);
• Work within the sales process to lead technical whiteboards, scope projects, create sales collateral, and present to C-Level executives. Review technical documentation and sales collateral for punctual and technical correctness. Identify future engagement opportunities during existing client engagements and convey those needs to account executives and practice leadership. Write & present statements of work (5%);
• Identify new engagement offerings, create client deliverable templates, and revise existing client deliverables as needed (5%).

Requirements

• This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent and 5 years of Senior Consultant, Technical Advisor, or related relevant experience
• 5 years of experience with migrations – directory/workstations, tenant-to-tenant, on-premises to cloud. 5 years of experience with Active Directory and group policies.
• 5 years of experience with Microsoft Entra ID – multi-factor authentication, conditional access policies, and Connect Sync.
• 5 years of experience with Microsoft 365 management and administration.
• 5 years of experience with complex enterprise design and implementation experience in at least one of the following focus areas: Endpoint Management, Identity Management, Microsoft Defender or Microsoft Purview.
• 5 years of experience with consulting with enterprise clients.
