About the Role

We are looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer who wants to take the next step in their career and join our Data, Analytics and AI / ML practice. You’ll be a technical authority at the center of our engagements, managing technical risk and creating real business value. You’ll be willing to be hands-on when you need to be and seek to balance innovation and intellectual rigor with realism.

We’re looking for someone who can contribute to a technical culture of the highest quality that learns from our customer deliveries, understands the demands of working in a high pressured and extremely fast paced delivery environment & has the ability to lead, coach and mentor junior and senior staff.

You will work with talented, innovative, and creative Data & AI / ML technologists to design and implement the right data engineering and architecture choices for our clients. You will also lean into your technology knowledge to help define and contribute to our data accelerators.

About You

You’ll bring extensive data, cloud and technology experience gained through a combination of industry and consulting roles. You will be comfortable developing and strengthening peer-to-peer level relationships at all levels with our clients.

Ideally, you will have as much of the following experience as possible:

• In-depth understanding of the modern cloud data architecture stack, including but not limited to relational and non-relational databases, data warehouses, data lakes, data lakehouses etc., and ability to demonstrate how data engineering provides the glue between them
• Experience as a  Senior Data Engineer, with experience leading and mentoring data teams
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL is required. Scala, Java, and/or .Net knowledge is also highly prized
• Strong knowledge of Databricks
• Hands-on experience with major open-source and commercial orchestration, pipeline management, data transformation, workflow and data integration tools
• Strong knowledge of architectural patterns for data ingestion and transformation at scale
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, data architecture, data security, data quality, data governance, data mining, and data analysis and reporting is highly encouraged
• Experience with third-party data vendor integration
• AWS Associate or Specialty certification related to Data. Any additional AWS, Azure and / or GCP certifications are also very much of interest to us
• Experience with MLOps and data engineering for AI / ML is a strong differentiator
• Enthusiastic about working in an agile delivery environment

• Knowledge of Snowflake, Synapse and / or Fabric
• Knowledge of financial services or other industry verticals
• Experience of business development activities and developing client accounts
