1WorldSync is the industry leader in product content management. With approximately 550 employees across the US, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK, we’re seeking a Software Engineer I to support our growing global team.

Reporting directly to our Director of Engineering, the Software Engineer I will work closely with other engineers of varying disciplines (DevOps, QA, Front-End ReactJS, Full-Stack Ruby, etc), product, data science as well as other parts of the organization. They use AWS with many of our applications written in Java and open-source technologies. We are always looking to adopt modern technology to solve business challenges.

As Software Engineer I at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following:

Collaborate with front-end, QA, product, devops and UX teammates in an agile development environment and product cycle
Collaborate with teammates to add new features and maintain existing codebases while learning a variety of technologies and working within the AWS ecosystems
Deliver maintainable code that is thoughtfully designed and tested
Participate in team brainstorming and code pairing sessions, and peer code reviews

Required Skills and Experience:

2+ years of professional software development experience
1+ years experience working with the Ruby on Rails framework and/or Elm
1+ Years Frameworks: Rails, TailwindCSS, React.js, Spring (Boot, MVC, Security, etc.)
1+ Years Databases: PostgreSQL, Neo4J Graph Database, ElasticSearch, Snowflake
1+ Years of experience with AWS: RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, S3, ElastiCache/Redis, EMR, Lambda, Cloudfront, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, ECS/Docker, Linux
1+ Years of experience with Developer/DevOps tools: Jenkins for CI and Deployment, Sumologic, Datadog, Git

Desired Skills and Experience:

SQL and ActiveRecord
CSS/JS
Interest in Elm or Kotlin

Compensation:

$80,000 - $95,000 base salary.
This role is eligible for an annual discretionary corporate bonus.
Candidates can expect salary offers that range from the minimum to the midpoint of the salary range.

Additional Details:

This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week at our Chicago headquarters location.

This role requires the candidate to have the authority to work in, and be located in the US.

This position requires up to 10% travel.
