Description:
SAT (Student Assistance Team) Coordinator
$3,000, 1/2 paid at end of first semester and 1/2 paid at the end of the school year
ESEA Title I
Job Summary:
1. Facilitate and organize student team assistance meetings with at risk students, parents, and school personnel.
2. Provide guidance to Student Assistance Team on facilitating effective SAT meetings, reviewing data, identifying and recommending appropriate interventions for students with needs, and reviewing referral files before submission for an evaluation.
3. Support principal and classroom teachers in the delivery of appropriate instructional and behavioral interventions, using data to differentiate instruction to meet student needs, and documenting interventions to determine whether interventions are assisting students in making growth.
4. Assist SAT members, principals, and parents in understanding data utilized for student referral.
5. Schedule SAT Meetings and notify members and parents of meetings.
6. Maintain the official records of the SAT meetings and outcomes.
7. Assist teachers with the preparation of SAT meetings and outcomes.
8. Coordinates with outside agencies, administrators, etc., as needed
9. Facilitate team interaction at the SAT meetings.
10. Summarize discussions and decisions.
11. Maintain a SAT log for all meetings.
12. Other duties as assigned by the school principal.
Qualifications:
1. A valid WV Teacher Certification, Licensure, and/or Both
2. Demonstrates qualifications further detailed in job description
3. Knowledge of the community, school and enrolled students is critical in this position; therefore, preference will be given to school counselor, administrators, or current faculty at the school will be given.
