• Drive the development of the systems behind Meta's products, create web applications that reach billions of people, build high-volume servers and be a part of a team that's working to help people connect with each other around the globe.
• Code high-volume software using primarily C++ and Java.
• Create web applications using primarily PHP.
• Implement web interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build report interfaces and data feeds.
• Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the US.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. (Foreign Equivalent accepted). Requires 6 months experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  
  Requires 6 months of experience in the following:
• 1. C, C++, C#, or Java
• 2. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
• 3. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting
• 4. Databases
• 5. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems.
