In this role, you will lead the design, development, and scaling of sophisticated data ingestion systems using cutting-edge technologies and modern architecture patterns. Your expertise will directly impact our mission of empowering people and employers with the strategic power of compensation.<br/><span>If you're an experienced software engineer with a strong background in distributed systems, data pipelines, and leadership, this is an exciting opportunity to shape innovative products and mentor talented engineers.</span></span><span><strong><br/>What You’ll Do</strong></span><br/><span>As a Lead Software Engineer, you will:</span><ul><li><span>Collaborate with the Software Architecture team to design and develop components for distributed data ingestion systems, ensuring high security, availability, scalability, and observability.</span></li><li><span>Lead architectural discussions and execute designs that reflect collaborative team input.</span></li><li><span>Act as a team lead during scrum meetings and lead the discussions on technical solutions and systems architecture.</span></li><li><span>Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA, and Data Operations teams to deliver robust solutions.</span></li><li><span>Design and develop data ingestion &amp; transformation solutions supporting 3rd party APIs, flat file processing and SFTP.</span></li><li><span>Serve as the primary technical expert for the data ingestion platform, representing the company in technical discussions.</span></li><li><span>Develop, optimize, and maintain cloud native RESTful microservices.</span></li><li><span>Perform code and design reviews, drive the adoption of modern software engineering practices.</span></li><li><span>Mentor and grow engineers within your team and across the organization.</span></li><li><span>Implement monitoring strategies and work with the platform team to improve system observability.</span></li><li><span>Drive continuous improvements in engineering practices, focusing on delivering reliable, high-quality solutions.</span></li></ul><span><strong><br/>What We’re Looking For</strong></span><ul><li><span>7+ years of software engineering experience.</span></li><li><span>Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.</span></li><li><span>Experience serving as a technical lead on multiple high-impact, high-visibility projects.</span></li><li><span>Experience in building scalable data solutions (eg: data ingestion pipelines, data pipelines, big data, data stream processing)</span></li><li><span>Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures for relational databases.</span></li><li><span>Hands on experience with tuning SQL Server Queries</span></li><li><span>Expertise in designing and implementing microservices architecture.</span></li><li><span>Proficiency with Event-Driven Architectures (e.g., Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hubs, AWS Kinesis, Kafka, GCP PubSub).</span></li><li><span>Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and cloud-native solutions.</span></li><li><span>Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.</span></li><li><span>Experience developing and consuming RESTful Web Services.</span></li><li><span>Experience in building cloud native backend services</span></li><li><span>Hands on experience in migrating and designing applications for Azure AKS or Kubernetes cluste
