About the client

Our client is an OTT app solutions provider, giving media brands the tools they need to deliver engaging TV experiences to their audiences. They offer custom, natively built solutions for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Web, iOS and Android Mobile, and various smart TVs.

Project Description

We are looking for a seasoned full-stack engineer to build out and manage our entire web infrastructure. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years’ recent experience with all of the skills listed below.

Our project entails implementing our pre-approved UI, constructing our API, connecting the two, and setting up cloud infrastructure. This includes all associated areas such as database and architecture design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of the overall web architecture
• “Pixel-perfect” implementation of our web apps
• Design and deploy databases
• Ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed, low cost, and scalability
• Design and construction of our REST API
• Integrating our front-end UI with the constructed API
• Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment

Must have

• Extensive experience and knowledge of NodeJS
• Writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Being up to date on latest practices is a must, e.g., HTML5, CSS3, and ECMAScript 6
• Database design and management, including being up to date on the latest practices of Dynamodb and other Cloud-based database technologies
• Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficiency with Git
• Appreciation for clean and well documented code

Nice to have

• Extensive experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudFront, S3
• Designing and building serverless applications
• Familiarity with Vue Framework and common UI libraries
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors, bundlers, and associated languages such as Sass and Webpack
